Our Funders

Started in 1989 by eight founding state governors, The Great Lakes Protection Fund is an endowment that launches innovative solutions to improve the health of the Great Lakes. Their mission is to identify, demonstrate, and promote regional action to enhance the health of the Great Lakes ecosystem.

In 2017, the Great Lakes Protection Fund awarded Healthy Port Futures a project design award to pilot new passive sediment management (PSM) strategies in the Great Lakes region.

Other Collaborators

The construction of experimental pilot projects in the Great Lakes region is the product of productive collaborations with other institutions and stakeholders.
